Twimly is a personal nutrition coaching app. We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the app so we can run your account, analyze meals, personalize coaching, suggest food options, track progress, keep the service secure, and improve the product.

Data We Collect
Account and contact information
We may collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, account identifiers, sign-in method, verification status, password reset and email verification records, and basic account status.
Profile, health, and fitness information
Twimly may collect profile information such as date of birth, age, gender, height, current weight, target weight, nutrition goals, activity level, daily steps, gym routine, health conditions, dietary preferences, allergies, country, city, coaching preferences, calorie targets, macro targets, progress history, and onboarding answers.
Meal, coaching, and user content
We may collect meal logs, meal descriptions, food items, calories and macro estimates, recipe inputs, saved recipes, chat messages, coaching notes, goal strategy information, bucket-list or habit entries, and other content you enter into Twimly.
Photos, audio, and location
If you grant permission, Twimly can access your camera or photo library so you can analyze meal photos. If you use voice input, short audio recordings are processed for transcription. If you grant location permission, Twimly may use precise or approximate location to find nearby restaurant options and record app-start location context while you use the app.
Usage, device, and technical data
We may collect app usage events, feature interactions, AI usage counts and estimated costs, timestamps, server logs, diagnostics, error information, user agent, IP-derived request information, and related technical data needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve Twimly.
How We Use Data
We use collected information for these purposes:
- Provide app functionality, including account access, authentication, meal logging, coaching, and progress tracking.
- Analyze meals, menus, recipes, photos, and user-entered text so Twimly can return nutrition estimates and guidance.
- Personalize coaching, goals, nutrition targets, recommendations, recipes, meal plans, and nearby food suggestions.
- Send service messages such as verification codes, password reset emails, account notices, and beta access updates.

AI Features
Twimly uses AI-powered features for meal analysis, nutrition coaching, recipe suggestions, meal planning, voice transcription, image understanding, and related guidance. When you use these features, relevant content such as profile context, meals, photos, audio, text prompts, chat history, preferences, and location context may be processed by Twimly and by service providers that help us operate these AI features.
AI output may be imperfect. Twimly is intended for general wellness and nutrition support, not medical diagnosis or emergency advice. You should consult a qualified professional for medical, dietary, or health decisions that require professional care.
Retention and Security
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Twimly, maintain your account, support safety and security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve the service. Some logs and backups may remain for a limited period after deletion as part of normal security, backup, and operational processes.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Choices
- You can choose not to provide optional profile fields, photos, audio, or location permission, but some features may not work.
- You can change camera, photo library, microphone, and location permissions in your device settings.
- You can update account and profile information in the app where available.
- You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
- You can stop using Twimly and request account deletion if you no longer want the service.
Children
Twimly is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Twimly without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
International Use
Twimly is built in Switzerland and may use service providers in other countries. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Twimly changes. When we make changes, we will update the date above. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice in the app or by email where appropriate.
